We are currently looking for candidates for the following opportunity:
Responsible for generating, reporting and analyzing financial statements in addition to the following:
For internal review, prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages. This includes managing to ensure all processes to produce these results are done timely and accurately.
Maintain relationships with Property Managers to facilitate mutual communication and understanding of a project’s operations and status. Coordinate and communicate with Property Management teams to constantly analyze and amend our plans to achieve financial and operation objectives.
Monitor property cash flow status weekly. This includes ensuring proper funding of escrows and reserves.
Responsible for CAM, Real Estate Tax, and Insurance adjustments on a quarterly and annual basis, including base year calculations.
Work with internal staff for accuracy and timeliness of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and CAM reconciliation processing to the General Ledger.
Participate in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and actual variance explanations, in coordination with Property Managers.
Prepare journal entries as required for month end processing such as accruals and prepaid allocations. This includes easement allocations and intercompany entries.
Prepare packages required by external investors with emphasis on lender reporting requirements.
Participate in the year-end Audit process including preparing materials and supporting documentation as well as providing and responding to auditor inquiries and supplemental information requests in a timely manner.
Maintain excellent documentation to support transactions.
Prepare special financial reports such as owner’s requests, special lender reporting requirements, and controller requests.
Process Security Deposit refunds through Accounts Payable.
Responsible for daily General Ledger integrity in Yardi and/or RealPage accounting software.
Calculate and analyze annual CAM, Real Estate Tax and Insurance escalations for budgets, manage CAM audits initiated by tenants.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related designation. General Ledger accounting background required. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills as well as being able to effectively manage multiple tasks required. Experience in the commercial real estate accounting industry with a solid grasp of property management accounting workflow processes a plus. Proficiency in use of personal computers, specifically in Excel, and with working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat. Familiarity and experience with Yardi and/or RealPage property management software is a plus.
